One Response to Outdoor Vision for Girl Scouts

  1. Lanie / Chipper says:

Hope Girl Scouts and camp alumni sign up on this survey to support and help the council increase membership, programs, donations, marketing, leaders outdoor training, resident, troop and day camping, the equestrian program, and thereby help ensure that all four camps will be successful now and in the future!

Exciting news for Girl Scouts and those who love camping and the outdoors: Sally Jewell, the newly sworn in U.S. Secretary of the Interior, is one of the “Girl Scout Greats” highlighted during the 100th Anniversary of GSUSA, Girl Scouts of Western Washington. She was sworn in on Friday, April 12. She is a camping, backpacking, and kayaking enthusiast! Campers of today can grow up to be leaders of tomorrow, just like Secretary Jewell.

    • while president and chief executive officer of REI, she oversaw REI’s commitment to outdoor stewardship, which involved support of volunteer projects on public lands and nature programs for children across the country.

    • serves on the boards of the University of Washington and the National rks Conservation Association; recipient of the Audubon Society’s Rachel Carson Award.

•spent nearly 20 years in the banking industry and was an engineer for Mobil Oil; with a degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Washington
