Big Corn Meets Big Apple

On the hottest day of the trip so far we walked around so much. We started the day by seeing the White House and getting a quick photo op. Then we walked a little father to the Washington Monument, which is currently under construction so we couldn’t go up it. Then we got a relief of air conditioning by visiting both of the Smithsonian Museums. There were way to many exhibits to even try and see them all. We hopped on the bus and John drove us out to Mount Vernon to visit the home and burial site of the man himself, George Washington. There was a ton of really interesting information and artifacts from the 18th century. Then we drove out to Arlington to eat dinner at the Fish Market, which isn’t actually a real fish market.
