Beams of Light at the Sunshine Valley Day Camp

“Panda can you help the Pixies with Giggles because Mouse wants a break?” Did you follow that? I quickly discovered day camp has its own language.

Regional Membership Managers, Mollie Fagan and Janelle Beswick and I (Communications Coordinator) visited Sunshine Valley Day Camp Tuesday, July 9 at the Izaak Walton League in Cedar Rapids, IA and boy, how fun that was!

The theme for Sunshine Valley Day Day was International where girls got taste cuisine from other countries, and learn about similarities and differences of other countries through activities.

There are no words to describe our experience, so I’ll let photos do the talking. Enjoy!

Our little beams of sunshine at day camp were: playing Frogger; tasting a German Chocolate cupcake with cherry filling; singing the Squirrel Song; meeting Program Aides, Tangels, Sparkler, and Robin; watching the practicing of a closing flag ceremony; smelling the delicious results of baking a chocolate cake in a box; and checking out the neat displays of other countries!
