Get Girls DREAMing

2013 DREAM Feature Image

We all want girls to day dream, imagine themselves doing what they love and create goals to get there. At the DREAM Conference, 6th, 7th and 8th grade girls will be exposed to new places, new professions and new ideas that they wouldn’t otherwise get in school.

Leadership capability of girls is key at the DREAM Conference, while career-based and exciting sessions are incorporated.

Lawyers, engineers, chefs, city council members, artists, journalists, emergency responders from the Dubuque community will guide girls through interactive, hands on sessions highlighting what it’s like to be them. As a sneak peek, here are some of the names of the sessions offered:

  1. Girls to the Rescue
  2. Artist Adventure
  3. Mock On
  4. The Chef in Me

These sessions are sure to inspire and confirm dreams of these ladies. But just for fun, we’re including hip hop dance lessons! This is a fun, all-day event for Cadettes who are Determined to Reach, Excel, Achieve, and Master- DREAM!

If you’re ready to get your girls DREAMing, register them for a day that will influence the rest of their lives at http://girlscoutstoday.org/event/dream!
